St Paul's LWML donates tshirt diapers for Ysleta Mission
The YLM 2010 group gathered recently at the Myron and Sonya Gunderson to assemble, fold and pin the 100's of tshirt diapers that the ladies of St Paul's gave. These diapers will be taken to the Ysleta Mission to be distributed to those with babies. We all noted how very soft the will be for those little tender babies! The photo below shows Mike Lehmann, Sherri Hanson, Sonya Gunderson, Kristine Neu, Andrew Gorentz and Ashley Neu busy getting them ready.
About the Mission Outreach Event
Ysleta Lutheran Mission trip is one of St. John's and St. Paul's mission outreach events. Our youth over 16 years of age as well as adults have an opportunity to serve the Lord and reach out with the good news of Jesus' love for all.
Ysleta Lutheran Mission is located in El Paso, Texas. The Mission serves members of San Pablo Lutheran Church as well as several others across the border in Mexico. Our ACT group organized the first trip. After hearing about their experiences, we have continued this outreach and included adult members. Volunteers come to YLM to assist in the many tasks the Mission takes on. Some of these are teaching or assisting with Sunday School or summer Bible School, facilities repair - both in El Paso as well as in Mexico, repairing or building houses for needy families in Mexico and any other projects or emergencies that come up. All these activities are done after morning Bible study and while spreading the word of Jesus' love for all.
We have been blessed being able to send 4groups of 10-15 people in the past 6 years. Our next event is the summer of 2010. We will be traveling July 29th - August 7th. A Vacaton Bible School is being planned for the children of Sin Paedres in Mexico. Please pray for this group of people who will be sharing the love of Christ with others.
